Season’s greetings
Welcome
to the 2nd edition of this electronic newsletter for AMRA members. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a
peaceful New Year. As you can see, our
e-zine retains the original name. Following the request made for alternative
titles, we received one suggestion: “MarinEmag.” I’d be delighted
to hear if this would be the preference of our readership or perhaps, over the
days ahead, you may be inspired to make some suggestions of your own. I confess
we overlooked the presentation to Antonya Cooper of the prize for her
suggestion. My apologies for this and we will make amends at one of the events
detailed below.

On

will be a cash bar and raffle prizes. Any profit will be donated to New Futures Nepal a small charity running
two orphanages in
As
most of you will have seen, the council has at last installed a suitable
barrier beside the cycle path which will prevent cyclists and other road users
causing a danger to themselves and others on North Quay. Our thanks again to John & June Napper
who helped the AMRA campaign to persuade the Vale to undertake this work.
New treasurer
We
wish a warm welcome to Paul Burnett as AMRA’s treasurer since the AGM. He will
be an asset to the committee.
As
this is a young venture, please let us know how it can be improved either by
e-mail to enemb@btinternet.com or by snail mail to
