Our Summer Soirée is being held at the Abingdon Boys Boathouse on Sunday 19th July, 5 - 9pm. Please make a note of the date in your diary right now - it’s a marvellous occasion with welcome drinks,
plenty of delicious food, and a band to entertain us all provided. Bring your own drinks for the rest of the
evening. If you have a small picnic table and chairs, please bring those too. Last year over 60 people
turned out for the party and had a wonderful time. If you would like to join us this year, please reserve tickets when you return your membership
subscription. Guests are very welcome. No charge for members, non-members £10 per ticket.

In an effort to make our community look even more attractive, we are holding our 1st Annual Garden Competition, to be judged in July 2009. There will be two prizes, one each for "Best Front Garden" and "Best Marina Garden", as well as a plaque to be displayed. Certificates will also be presented to the runners-up. So some on those of you with gardens, let's get planning to make the, look lovely and you could be the winner of our first ever garden competition. Details of how to enter will be in the Spring Newsletter. Also open to non-members. |
